Freshman parents and students are familiar with class websites that list daily class assignments and provide copies of class handouts. Although some classes in high school continue this practice, the FAA program places a high premium on the responsibility of each student for tracking daily assignments and retaining class handouts without the use of a computer. (Many students in the program do not have daily access to a computer, making every student's responsibility for tracking of assignments and retention of handouts even more important). This site is a resource for students and parents who have access to a computer.
Parents and students with access to a computer who wish to track completed assignments and scores may do so through the SVUSD Family Portal. Instructions for connecting to the Family Portal can be found on the El Toro High School website or by contacting the ETHS Guidance Department.
Students with questions about completed assignments or assignment scores are invited to contact Mr. Archer at appropriate times during the school day. Parents with questions about completed assignments or assignment scores are invited to email Mr. Archer at archerr@svusd.org
Copies of selected classroom handouts are posted on this site as a convenience for students who may have lost a copy of the one received in class or for parents who are curious about the work being done in class. The handouts and assignments listed on this page may not be a complete list, so students and parents are encouraged to arrange for record keeping that depends on the student's ability to track all assignments and due dates without the aid of an online webpage. Students who request and receive duplicate copies of class handouts from Mr. Archer will be charged a 10 minute detention, so students are urged to never lose any class handouts.
